October 10th, 7:00pm to 9:00pm

Join us for an engaging evening with award-winning author & journalist Kamal Al-Solaylee in conversation with Brock Weir, Managing Editor of The Auroran Newspaper.

Kamal Al-Solaylee is a Canadian journalist and author of the national bestselling memoir Intolerable: A Memoir of Extremes. In his latest book, Brown: What Being Brown in the World Today Means (to Everyone), Al-Solaylee explores the in-between space that brown people occupy in today’s world. A daring and politically resonant work, Brown challenges assumptions about race, immigration and globalism and recounts the heartbreaking stories of the people caught in the middle.

Brock Weir is the Managing Editor of The Auroran Newspaper and has worked for news outlets ranging from Newmarket, to Ottawa, to Kigali, Rwanda.
