Queer Reads is a community-led LGBTQ2S group that enjoys books on a variety of subject matter and interests.  

 

Facilitated by author Nikki Donadio. Nikki is a writer of fiction and poetry. A graduate of the Humber School for Writers, she holds an MA in Creative and Critical Writing and a BA in English Literature.

Lilly, the main character in the book is the perpetual outsider, illustrating the alienation and longing of those who never feel at home anywhere. In Ethiopia, she is the white-skinned “faranj”; in England, the disconnected exile.
