Renovation Project FAQ

1. Why are we doing this?

Libraries continue to evolve to meet community needs and desires. In 2015, we undertook a facility needs assessment which indicated the heightened role of libraries as a community hub, the desire for more collaborative spaces, and the increasingly important role of technology in our lives. This, together with public engagement, was the foundation for this project.

2. How long will it take?

We expect the project to be completed in January 2019.

3. Will the library remain open during the renovations?

The Library will be open regular hours during the project.

4. Will library services be impacted?

At times there may be some disruption; However, we will do our best to keep it to a minimum.

5. What is the cost of the project?

The cost of the project is $2.2M.
